Geotechnical Engineering Services

Our Geotechnical Engineering Services include soil suitability evaluations, such as PD&E studies, site constructability and borrow evaluations; forensic consultation, which includes sinkhole, wind and flood evaluations; shallow and deep foundation designs; subsurface remediation design which includes vibro-replacement and grouting; wall design including MSE and sheet pile design as well as pavement evaluation and design.

Construction Inspection Services

As a Florida Department of Transportation certified DBE firm, our Construction Engineering Inspection Services Department provides CTQP qualified inspectors to CEI firms, assisting these firms in a support role in meeting their DBE staffing goals. We can provide all levels of inspector anywhere in the state. We are currently providing inspectors on the I-595 Express project in Broward County.

CEI

testlabinc knows the various policies and procedures of multiple entities to act as owner’s representative. We provide geotechnical specialty testing and inspection services for Construction Engineering Inspection (CEI) teams. We offer our clients expert support for foundation testing and inspection services. We also have a long history of providing construction phase engineering, constructability reviews, and value engineering. Regardless of the project type from specific CEI team roles, contractor support, Engineering Analysis Reports (EARs), to forensic analysis support; testlabinc’s staff possess the engineering and inspector certifications and experience to deliver.

Foundation Testing and Inspection

Quality Assurance of Deep Foundations has been a significant part of testlabinc’s history. In the late 1980s testlabinc, then Williams and Associates, acquired one of the first commercial dynamic pile testing systems. Today, testlabinc performs a variety of services including non-destructive tests to evaluate deep foundations, such as dynamic pile testing, cross-hole sonic logging (CSL), sonic-echo tests, and shaft inspection device (SID). testlabinc is also adept at destructive tests, including cores of structural slabs, pavements, and drilled shafts. Our firm is experienced in developing and executing quality control programs, customizing tools including software, to ensure the utmost quality and best data management practices.

Subsurface Exploration and Drilling

testlabinc Corp operates some of the most modern subsurface exploration and soil sampling equipment in the state. From truck, buggy, and track mounted rigs, testlabinc can negotiate most project types, terrains, and anticipated depths. In addition, testlabinc boasts direct push technology (DPT) and cone penetration testing (CPT) capability, with our GeoProbe rig and Vertek Cone system. Our varied experience includes subsurface investigation for nuclear power plants and major bridge structures over water, such as the Sunshine Skyway and Pensacola Bay Bridge, to roadway widenings and parking garages. We have performed investigations in airports and for many rail and transit authorities. Our equipment and experience testing sampling and testing soils provides our clients the value of confidence in our results and the quality that engineers can rely on.
